So like my previous post said, I attend quite a lot of shows over the year, and here are a few bands I've seen, what ratings I'll give them, I wont write a full review as I'm sure other people have already done it and some were months ago.
The Menzingers at SWX Bristol
Thoroughly enjoyable show from the band who produced my second favourite album from last year.
8/10
Architects at Alexandra Palace
Probably the biggest and most important live show to date for the british metal scene. A sold out show which was not only electric but also very emotional, Architects not only looked solid and unfazed by the event, but smashed it out the park.
10/10
While She Sleeps at the o2 academy Bristol
Having seen WSS smash Ally Pally a few days before I was uber keen to see them at a headline show, esp after their sensational album "You Are we" which was my third favourite album from last year. Like Ally Pally, they completely blew the o2 away with what wasn't a sol out crowd, which was a massive shame, but nonetheless I can sense big things coming from WSS
8/10
Jamie Lenman at The Hub Plymouth
After the success from the former Reuben lead singers 2nd album, I was keen to see Jamie live. Never got into Reuben, mainly because it was before the time I got into music as avidly as I am now, which is a shame as having given there records a go, they are bloody good!!
Jamie was quality live, and hes such a interesting character and lead singer, Jamie brought along a great show, along with a quality drummer in the form of Dan Kavanagh. Deserved a sold out but I have a feeling that in tiime, he will sell out shows like this and hopefully bigger venues
P.S shout out to thats not metal for introducing me to this brilliant character.
